In my last post, I shared how my three books work together — each one meeting people at a different place in their journey and helping them create what they want. That was All Things Patrice — the view from my side of the camera.

Now I want to turn the camera around.

Because all of that — the books, the ideas, the work — it's not really about me. It's about you. What you're reaching for. What you're ready for. What your next chapter looks like.

And sometimes, the best way to see that is through someone else's story:

Mike had spent years nurturing a dream — writing songs for film and TV. But somewhere along the way, the passion faded and the dream got set aside.

Then, last summer, he decided to go looking for it.

He read fifteen books on art, creativity, and music, searching for the spark that would bring it back. Each one offered a flicker — a moment of hope, a brief sense of relief — but nothing that held. Until he finished It's Still Good.

He wrote to me shortly after, and his words made my day. They are exactly why I write what I do — to help people move forward with their dreams.

"For the first time in a long while, I felt my enthusiasm return with intensity. Many of the other books gave me fleeting moments of hope and relief, but your words and ideas reignited the flame."

Mike did the journaling at the end of every chapter. He made a date with someday. And now he's ready to try again — pursuing the dream he thought he'd lost for good.

That's what a next chapter looks like.

What's your version of that story?

Maybe you're standing at the edge of a life stage that no longer fits, wondering what comes next. Maybe there's a dream you've been circling for years — a project, a passion, a version of yourself you haven't quite stepped into yet. Maybe you already know what you want, but something keeps stopping you from beginning.

Here's what I know: the next chapter doesn't write itself in one dramatic moment. It gets written in the small decisions you make every day — the ones where you choose, just for today, to move a little closer to the life you want.
